Some people want to have a big bang in their business name and many times that may make a difference whether or not if someone comes in their door. The name, Cooks Counseling, is simple and to the point. I do not want to have to try and convince someone the services are great or above what they have experienced before
I just want to provide good quality services to people who are hurting and looking for someone to listen and work through the issues with them.
Each of us has had a variety of experiences, some better than others. I believe our upbringing does affect the way we perceive relationships as well as how we see ourselves, however, our upbringing does not have to define how we live out the rest of our lives.
I believe each person is valuable and as much as anything wants to be heard. My goal is to help each person that walks through the door of COOKS COUNSELING deal with the issues that they are currently experiencing or issues that have not been addressed previously. Each person can then decide for themselves just what is behind the name, COOKS COUNSELING.
Marriage Relationships
Communication (or the lack of it) and unspoken expectations are two significant issues that can disrupt a marriage. Hearing the content of the message and understanding where your spouse is coming from can provide hope and healing in the marriage.
Women Issues
If you ever feel like you'll "never get it all done, "need to please everyone in your life, have difficulty asking for help (because" no one has to ask me"), wonder how your friend keeps it all together (because that's what I see on social media), then come in and take the load off. You can learn healthy ways of dealing with all this stress. As you take care of yourself physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally, everyone benefits! You owe it to yourself!
