“Where You Can Find Hope and Healing”
Some people want to have a big bang in their business name and many times that may make a difference whether or not if someone comes in their door. The name, Cooks Counseling, is simple and to the point. I do not want to have to try and convince someone the services are great or above what they have experienced before I just want to provide good quality services to people who are hurting and looking for someone to listen and work through the issues with them.
Each of us has had a variety of experiences, some better than others. I believe our upbringing does affect the way we perceive relationships as well as how we see ourselves, however our upbringing does not have to define how we live out the rest of our lives.
I believe each person is valuable and as much as anything wants to be heard. My goal is to help each person that walks through the door of COOKS COUNSELING deal with the issues that they are currently experiencing or issues that have not been addressed previously. Each person can then decide for themselves just what is behind the name, COOKS COUNSELING.

Nature of Counseling:
The therapeutic process I utilize is called Cognitive Behavior therapy. This approach focuses on how our thinking affects our behavior, both positive and negative. My role is to help the client recognize his/her potential. I believe it is important to meet the client “where they are” and go forward from there. I believe respect and hope are rights of each and every client. Serving clients for 4 to 8 and up.
